Mary Theresa Keown has been painting and exhibiting for over thirty years. She graduated in 2022 with a PhD entitled Hyphenation as a critical tool for contemporary Irish painting with the University of Ulster. She is a recipient of the BAI (Basic Artist’s Income) payment scheme and a member of HERmetics, a five-person artist’s collective. Born in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, N. Ireland in 1974, she now lives and works in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim.
